ORGANIC DESIGN WITH ENGINEERING CONTROL


Geomagic Freeform is a 3D design environment for organic, sculpted and highly irregular geometry. It combines digital clay with mesh, SubD, surface and solid modelling, and can add haptic input so the designer can feel resistance while shaping the model.


The same environment can also control dimensions, wall thickness, draft and manufacturing interfaces. This makes Freeform useful for patient-specific devices, orthotics and prosthetics, toys and collectibles, consumer products, mould and die work, and other designs where freeform shape still has to become a manufacturable part.
