FROM 3D MEASUREMENT TO CLEAR INSPECTION RESULTS

Geomagic Control X is scan-based inspection and metrology software for comparing measured 3D data with nominal CAD, dimensions, GD&T or previous measurements. Data from 3D scanners and portable CMMs can be aligned, analysed and reported within the same inspection workflow.

Full-surface measurement makes it possible to see local deviation and shape change across the part while still evaluating specific features and tolerances. That supports first article inspection, tooling validation, wear and deformation studies, production troubleshooting and repeat inspection.

INSPECTION APPLICATIONS

BUILD THE INSPECTION AROUND THE QUESTION

Inspection routines should reflect what engineering or quality needs to understand. Control X can combine full-surface comparison with feature measurement, GD&T, sections and repeatable reporting, then carry the same inspection logic from one-off investigation into recurring production work.

  • Full-surface comparison: visualize warpage, local deviation and shape change across the complete measured part.
  • Feature and GD&T inspection: evaluate dimensions, sections, hole locations and tolerances against the required definition.
  • Repeatable inspection: use scripting, batch processing and automated routines to keep methods and reports consistent across repeated jobs and supported hardware.
