Process Overview and Applications
Fused Granulate Fabrication (FGF), or pellet extrusion, is a large-format additive manufacturing process that uses pelletized materials instead of filament to produce parts.

This approach enables high material throughput and efficient production of large components, making it well suited for applications where size, speed, and material flexibility are key considerations.

FGF systems are commonly used for:
-
Large-scale prototypes and functional parts
-
Tooling, molds, and fixtures
-
Patterns for composite layup or casting
-
Architectural and structural components
-
Industrial applications requiring large-format production
-
Large sculptures and statues

Pellet-based systems support a wide range of thermoplastics, including engineering-grade materials, allowing parts to be produced with properties suited to demanding applications. Some systems also have the ability to integrate CNC machining to produce fully finished machined parts out of a single system.
ABOUT KINGS 3D
Kings 3D is a China-based manufacturer headquartered in Xi’an, specializing in industrial additive manufacturing systems, with a strong focus on large-format and production-scale technologies.
Founded in 2008, Kings has developed extensive experience across both stereolithography (SLA) and pellet extrusion systems, supporting a range of industrial applications.
Their equipment is widely deployed in manufacturing, tooling, and production environments, where large build volumes and reliable performance are critical.
