A scan is only useful when it is captured for the intended deliverable. Reverse engineering may need geometry that supports clean CAD reconstruction; inspection depends on traceable measurement and alignment; digital asset work may prioritize surface detail and colour; straightforward data capture may only require a clean mesh or point cloud.
CAMS selects the scanner, setup, resolution, tracking method, and downstream processing around that end use. We can deliver the scan data as a defined output or continue into CAD, inspection, modeling, or other connected services when the project needs more than capture alone.

THE SCAN IS ONLY THE STARTING DATA
A point cloud or mesh is often an intermediate deliverable rather than the final result. Scan data may continue into reverse engineering, dimensional inspection, digital archiving, visualization, fit-up analysis or design around an existing asset.
Planning capture around the downstream use helps determine the required resolution, coverage, coordinate system and processing before the first scan is taken.
