Shining 3D OptimScan Q12 Specifications
The OptimScan Q12 is a high-precision 3D inspection scanner designed to capture intricate geometric features with exceptional accuracy. Equipped with four 12.3 MP cameras and advanced 3D reconstruction algorithms, it achieves up to 0.005 mm accuracy in small-range mode, ensuring reliable and repeatable results for industrial applications.

With its dual scan range, the OptimScan Q12 allows operators to seamlessly switch between a large range of 430 × 300 mm and a small range of 160 × 110 mm. Scanned data from different ranges can be fused within the software, providing both efficiency and detail for complex parts. The scanner’s monocular-stereo fusion (MSF) feature increases data coverage, capturing even challenging surfaces like corners, edges, and joints with improved integrity.

The OptimScan Q12 delivers fast, precise scanning thanks to a built-in dual-chip computing module and multiple exposure modes, including intelligent automatic exposure. Each scan takes less than 1 second, capturing up to 12 million points per shot, making it ideal for time-sensitive inspection workflows. Its compact and portable design supports flexible manual scanning, semi-automated setups with a turntable, or fully automated operation integrated with robots for consistent, repeatable inspections.

Compatible with Polyworks, Geomagic Control X, and Geomagic Design X, the OptimScan Q12 provides seamless integration into existing 3D inspection and quality control workflows. It’s suited for applications such as component dimension inspection (GD&T), sheet metal quality control, mold development, and automated in-line inspection, delivering fast, reliable, and metrology-grade results across a variety of industrial settings.
