Move Complex Foundry Geometry Directly From CAD
S2200Mega is designed for digital production of sand molds and cores without a traditional pattern-making step. Binder jetting makes it possible to produce complex core geometry directly from the CAD model, including shapes that would otherwise require multiple core sections or more involved tooling.
For foundries using the machine as part of ongoing production, the workflow can be expanded with a second job box and motorized conveyor so printing and downstream handling are separated more effectively. This allows the printer to fit into a production cell rather than operating only as a stand-alone prototyping system.

Applications for Large-Format Sand Binder Jetting
Large sand binder-jet systems are useful when the casting geometry is difficult to produce with conventional pattern and core-making methods. Typical work includes large molds, complex one-piece cores, pump and hydraulic castings, automotive components, and other foundry parts where internal passages or low production quantities make dedicated tooling less attractive.
The digital workflow also gives foundries more flexibility during development and replacement-part work because geometry can be changed in CAD without rebuilding a physical pattern. The value is highest where design complexity, lead time, or frequent geometry changes matter more than simply reproducing a high-volume conventional mold.
