OVERVIEW

Large-Scale Measurement Without Traditional Leapfrogging


The FreeScan Trak ProW is designed for applications where conventional handheld scanning workflows become inefficient or difficult to manage. By using Dynamic Tracking and Video Photogrammetry, the system creates a more flexible measurement environment for large components, large assemblies, and parts that are difficult to prepare with conventional target layouts.


A key advantage of the Trak ProW is its configurable tracking field. When the full large-volume range is required, the system can be set up for extended measurement coverage. When the maximum tracking volume is not needed, the field of view can be configured for a smaller measurement area to improve accuracy for more focused inspection tasks. This allows users to match the system setup to the part size, tolerance requirements, and measurement workflow.


Another major advantage is that, when Dynamic Tracking reference markers are used, the tracker and workpiece do not need to remain completely stationary throughout the full scan. This allows the tracker to be repositioned during large projects without relying on traditional leapfrogging workflows, while also making the system more practical for components that may experience slight movement or vibration during inspection.
