The FreeScan Trak Nova is built for users who need the benefits of Dynamic Tracking in a compact, flexible system. In Dynamic Tracking mode, the system reduces the need to place targets directly on many parts and improves efficiency when measuring larger or more complex components.


A major advantage of Dynamic Tracking is that, when the proper reference setup is used, the tracker and workpiece do not need to remain completely stationary relative to one another throughout the full scan. This makes the system more practical for real-world environments where large parts, fixtures, or fabricated structures may be difficult to keep perfectly fixed during measurement.


The Trak Nova also provides exceptional versatility through its hardware configuration. The UE Nova can function as a wide-area handheld laser scanner for larger marker-based applications, while the TE Nova can be used independently as a high-accuracy handheld scanner for smaller or more detailed parts. This gives users a compact metrology system that can adapt to different jobs without requiring multiple separate scanners.
