Handheld 3D scanner capturing the geometry and surface detail of a physical object

3D Scanning & Data Capture

3D Scanning, Mesh, Point Cloud & Digital Asset Capture

Capture physical geometry, colour and surface detail as usable 3D data for engineering, visualization, archiving and other downstream workflows.

CAPTURE THE DATA THE NEXT STEP NEEDS

For many projects, the scan data itself is the deliverable: a registered point cloud, polygon mesh, textured model or other digital representation that can move directly into design, visualization, simulation, archiving, digital content or another software workflow.

CAMS works across handheld laser, structured-light, tracked and colour-capable scanning systems. Equipment, capture settings and processing are selected around object size, surface condition, access, required detail, accuracy and the intended use of the data. The deliverable and file format are defined around that downstream requirement before capture begins.

PROJECT EXAMPLES

DELIVER THE DATA AT THE RIGHT STAGE

The useful endpoint of a scan depends on what happens after capture. Some teams need registered measurement data; others need a cleaned mesh, a textured digital asset, reduced data for visualization, or geometry prepared for another software package.

  • Geometry: capture the resolution and accuracy appropriate for the object and downstream use.
  • Processing: deliver raw, registered, cleaned or optimized data at the agreed stage of the workflow.
  • Output: select file format, texture and data density around the software, platform or team that will use the result.
